Julien Deneyer, from Wépion, has just broken the record for the Summum challenge, an extraordinary triathlon combining a 3.8km swim, a 180km bike ride over the Col des Aravis pass, and an ascent to the summit of Mont Blanc.
His time: 9:12 p.m.
A resounding achievement, smashing the previous record held by Cyril Blanchard (11:18 p.m.), pioneer of the challenge.
Upon his arrival, Julien's words remained the same:
"A violent effort."
After completing the Enduroman in 2016, the Curtivessien native is embarking on another extreme adventure this Saturday.
He will complete a 200 km triathlon, finishing at the roof of Europe, all in less than 24 hours.

On September 26, the former Enduroman world record holder will take part in an extreme challenge in the Alps that he devised himself.
